Wayne Rooney’s son Kai has signed for Manchester United.
Kai Rooney, 11, put pen to paper on a deal at Manchester United as he bids to follow in the footsteps of dad Wayne.
The Manchester United legend shared a picture of Kai putting pen to paper alongside his wife Coleen.
He said: “Proud. Kai signing for @ManUtd. Keep up the hard work son.”
Rooney made name for himself at United scoring 253 goals in over 559 appearances for Red Devils during his 13-year stay at Old Trafford.
Kai would however be hoping to continue the legacy of his father who won 13 major trophies including five league titles, four League Cups and the FA Cup, Champions League, Europa League and Club World Cup on one occasion.
Rooney, 35 is currently the temporary manager of Derby County. He took over the job after the sacking of Phillip Cocu in November and will be seeking to land the top job at Pride Park on a permanent basis.
