Media personality and actress Nancy Isime clocked 29 on Thursday, December 17, and she decided to spend her special day in a unique way. The actress shared emotional videos of herself and a few friends visiting children at the pediatric ward of Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) with mascots.
According to her, it’s been her tradition to spend her birthday with children, give them goody bags, and pay outstanding surgery bills. This year, Nancy decided to celebrate with the children at LUTH. According to her, it would be her third time, hence, she decided to make it different for the kids. Knowing that the kids may not have had the opportunity to watch their favourite cartoon, she decided to bring mascots to them. In the videos she shared on her Instagram page, the media personality was seen going from one bed to another greeting the children with their favourite mascot.
She holds small conversations that lit up their faces and gives them their goody bags, to the excitement of their parents. Before entering the hospital, the actress and her friends posed with the mascots. According to Nancy, the reason she does not hold a birthday party for her friends is that adults are hard to please. Nancy stated that kids aren’t like that as she noted the smiles on their faces. She stated that distracting the kids from their pain for a moment means the whole world to her.
